The debut of Skinny Dream ice creams has had a huge response with early sales of the range exceeding expectations.

Leading low calorie snack bar brand Skinny Bars has turned its popular snack bars into a range of handheld ice cream sticks at only 83 calories or less each, launching into Iceland Food Warehouse stores in April. Two variants are available: Strawberry & White Chocolate and Salted Caramel (RSP: £3.50/6x31g), with the Salted Caramel being the top seller in the first four weeks.

“We’re all delighted that our customers have been loving our new ice cream range as much as we all do,” said Gemma Byrne, Marketing Manager at Halo Foods.

“Our ice creams allow anyone to take a break and treat themselves to a product that that feels luxurious and indulgent, yet is 83 calories or less.”

“This is something that resonates with people as the launch went down a storm on social media and perhaps links in to TikTok’s Little Treat Culture”

“Consumers have been asking for our ice creams to be available in their local areas. For those yet to get their hands on the products, don’t worry, we’re working hard to get more out there so that all our loyal fans can try the amazing range for themselves.”

The Skinny Dreams range of ice creams has been created in partnership with Icefresh Foods, who specialise in developing ice cream, desserts and bakery products for the UK. Icefresh Foods has already secured distribution for Skinny Dream ice creams with Iceland Food Warehouse, who are thought to be delighted with the initial sales and are considering ways to extend the range in the future. The brand is also being pitched to grocery mults, Marketing Manager Jill Leigh added.
