Luxury condiment maker Stokes Sauces has announced the launch of a Korean BBQ Sauce and a Bourbon & Cajun BBQ Sauce.

The new varieties are the latest additions to Stokes Sauces’ range of premium sauces, which include other BBQ favourites such as Tomato Ketchup, Real Mayonnaise, Original BBQ Sauce and Sweet & Sticky BBQ Sauce.

According to the most recent data available from Kantar, a growing number of Brits are opting for more exotic BBQ condiments and this led to a 74.7% rise in sales in 2018*. The growing variety of exotic condiments has been partially driven by a boom in the frequency of BBQs across the UK in recent years, and with households asked to stay home during the pandemic this year, BBQ season is expected to be busy.

Founder of Stokes Sauces, Rick Sheepshanks, commented: “The new range brings something different to your standard bangers and burger fare – authentic flavours from around the world that add the wow factor people may be missing from not eating out. These new products tap into the consumer trend for international cuisine, notably the interest in Korean flavours which is in continued growth.”

With a rich dark fruit flavour, Stokes Sauces’ Korean BBQ Sauce has been created using spices, soya and Mirin wine for an authentic taste. The premium sauce is ideal for drizzling over BBQ meat, as a dipping sauce or to add a Korean twist to a stir fry.

Inspired by flavours on the other side of the Pacific, Stokes Sauces’ Bourbon & Cajun BBQ Sauce is sweet and spicy with a Louisiana style Cajun seasoning. It can be used as a dipping sauce and for marinating meat. The sweetness is derived from sticky black treacle with an added kick of Kentucky Bourbon that will create a caramelised taste when grilled on BBQ meat.

The Bourbon & Cajun BBQ Sauce (RRP £3.70) and Korean BBQ Sauce (RRP £3.30) are available to purchase from the Stokes Sauces website stokessauces.co.uk in 300g bottles.
