b2b.store has become one of the first businesses working in the food and drink wholesale sector to achieve a new international standard for AI management systems.
The digital services provider has achieved ISO42001 certification to reinforce its commitment to responsible and accountable AI use – reinforcing its credibility in the space.
ISO42001 is the world’s first international standard for AI management systems, setting out how a business should govern, manage, monitor and control AI technology, providing an enhanced level of governance in a rapidly changing world.
“ISO42001 is a crucial sign of trust for modern-day technology service providers, so we wanted to achieve the accreditation as quickly as possible,” said b2b.store CEO Rob Mannion.
“It demonstrates to our wholesaler and supplier partners that any AI-driven decisions with our tech that impacts pricing, forecasting or supply chain operations are controlled, monitored, and aligned with responsible use standards.
“And with AI-first solutions and features intertwined throughout our services, it’s a seal of approval that strengthens our position when working with the major brands we do.”
The AI accreditation was completed alongside b2b.store’s renewal of its ISO27001 certificate for information and data security.
Together, the two standards position b2b.store as a trusted partner to provide the AIdriven systems that are increasingly shaping strategy and service in the sector.
“At b2b.store, our ProConnect platform handles sensitive customer data and integrates AI-powered functionality across its many uses, so achieving the two accreditations side-by-side is a big deal,” Mannion added.
“AI is no longer experimental technology, it’s here now and influencing real commercial decisions across wholesale and supply chains, so it’s something every business needs to understand and implement responsibly.”
