The new depot, set to open in Bristol later this year, reinforces the family-owned wholesaler’s long-standing focus on cash and carry enabled by investment and innovation. It will significantly extend Dhamecha’s geographic reach by providing enhanced support for independent retailers across the south-west region, helping them compete more effectively in their local communities.

Bidfood, one of the UK’s leading foodservice providers, has added another string to its bow with the announcement of another addition to its depot network in Durham. This latest estate development marks a significant milestone in the company’s continued investment in long-term infrastructure and network growth and is expected to start operating this summer. Located off Drum Road in Chester le Street, County Durham, the purpose-built facility will serve as Bidfood’s new Northeast hub, consolidating operations currently run from Gateshead and enhancing Bidfood’s ability to support customers across the region.
Pricecheck Brand Partners has smashed its ambitious “Vision 200” goal, recording an annual turnover of £200m, marking the completion of a five-year business plan to double the organisation’s size. The financial year ending April 2026 saw Pricecheck grow 11% from its £179m turnover in the prior year, which also marked the company’s 12th consecutive year of growth. In the past year, the international distributor grew its product range, acquiring iconic heritage brands Harmony, Amplex, and Rapport, whilst extending its brand distribution portfolio, welcoming JDE Peet’s market-leading brands, including Kenco, Douwe Egberts, Maxwell House, and Tassimo.
The best ever NBC Tradeshow was how both members and supplier partners described the annual event held at Whittlebury Park, Silverstone. Kevin Jopson, Managing Director of Northern Retail Group was appointed Chairman of NBC during the event. He tells Wholesale Manager what made him want to get into wholesaling and why he joined NBC.
