In time for back-to-school, Actimel launches two new SKUs with Vitamin D, specifically tailored to bring immune support* to kids in the UK & Ireland.

Packed full of Actimel’s exclusive L. casei cultures, each Actimel Kids shot is a source of vitamin B6 and also contains a third of the daily reference intake of Vitamin D, which can help to support the normal functioning of the immune system in children*.  As always, each bottle contains no preservatives, artificial colours or artificial flavours.

With fun and colourful packaging featuring superhero fruits to appeal to younger consumers, Actimel Kids is available in two tasty flavours that are super for kids – Strawberry Banana and Peach.

Health continues to be ranked as a priority for consumers[1] and interest in functional food is as strong as ever, with searches around immunity still 3 times higher than in July 2019[2]. With over half of parents (62%)[3] also looking for products for their children containing vitamins and minerals, Actimel Kids offers a great fit for their needs and helps to bring immune support* to children in a tasty and practical way.

Sarah Dossett, Marketing Director at Danone Essential Dairy & Plant-based UK & Ireland comments: “As we continue to drive category growth through Actimel, we’re so excited to bring our expertise in immune support to our fun new Actimel Kids range to support the normal function of the immune systems of little ones across the UK & Ireland*. At the breakfast table or as a snack, our delicious and practical Actimel shots are packed with our exclusive L. casei cultures and a third of the daily reference intake of Vitamin D to help kids take on whatever their day throws at them, every day.”

Actimel Kids will be available in retailers nationwide by the end of the summer with a RRP of £1.50 for a 4 pack, with the roll-out already starting across certain stores. The launch will also be supported through TV, digital, in-store and sampling activations during peak back-to-school time.
