The likes of Bestway and Sugro are set to benefit from a major upgrade to B2B WhatsApp thanks to the launch of b2b.store’s new platform.

Called ProConnect – a combination of the words Professional and Connection – the platform will replace B2B WhatsApp, which a number of businesses from different sectors already use as a communication tool.

ProConnect provides an even better experience and includes a series of new functions, such as more in-depth analytics, the ability to send next-generation interactive WhatsApp messages and even greater security.

The platform is built in compliance with ISO27001 standards, ensuring the personal contact information of people subscribed to a WhatsApp channel is protected by the highest global data security measures, giving users extra peace of mind.

Among a host of new features, ProConnect offers enhanced analytics to track message performance, a slicker way to authenticate customer and phone numbers, the ability to micro-segment customers, and an option to process in-app payments.

One of the most exciting advancements is the potential to send dynamic content such as interactive forms, up-to-date stock notifications, event registration or live calendar updates within a WhatsApp message.

The new platform accommodates users with varying access levels, allowing for toplevel campaigns to be sent across the entire customer base or more localised promotions managed by local depot managers.

ProConnect also provides the perfect springboard for future developments, with a full roadmap of further updates scheduled across the next year to meet specific B2B needs.

The launch of ProConnect builds on the success of B2B WhatsApp, which was one of the finalists in this year’s Technology Initiative of the Year category at the Grocer Gold Award, with several more upgrades planned under the new name for 2025.

“The release of ProConnect is major news for users because it’s a significant upgrade that will improve their experience and allow them to do even more with the enhanced features,” said b2b.store CEO Rob Mannion.

“The launch is particularly significant because we built the platform to meet ISO27001 standards, which means we’re ready to sign up businesses of all sizes, while our onboarding methods and policies mean all personal data is retained in the UK and helps to ensure businesses are GDPR compliant.

“ProConnect also provides a great basis for further upgrades and adaptations to come. With so much potential for businesses within the WhatsApp API, it provides us with the perfect springboard to develop more functions tailored specifically for B2B on our platform.”
