Bar-Be-Quick – the original instant barbecue manufacturer – is launching an innovative, reusable stand that holds both sizes of its popular instant barbecue.
The Bar-Be-Quick dual stand (RRP £19.99) is new to the market for 2015 and offers a solution to the common issue of scorching grass or burning and marking surfaces during the cooking process.
Caroline Morris, head of sales at Bar-Be-Quick, said: “Bar-Be-Quick’s instant barbecue ranges have remained a firm best-seller for many years. This new product development will allow grocery retailers to tap further into the profitable barbecue sector, while offering consumers a smarter way to enjoy their alfresco dining experience.
“We sell, on average, four million instant barbecues a year so there’s a definite open market to purchase the supporting spend. We’re confident that this will become a popular add-on sale that will increase the customer’s average basket stand. The fact that the product is reusable will also hopefully encourage repeat custom for the instant barbecues.”
The stand is easily assembled and requires no tools. It is flat packed, so can be displayed on the shelves alongside other barbecue ranges. Launching in Wilko from April, the stand will also be available to other retailers.
