One of the UK’s leading foodservice providers, Bidvest 3663, is changing its name. This change is part of a wider programme of evolution which reflects the company’s long-term commitment to driving leadership and innovation within the UK foodservice sector.

The new name, Bidvest Foodservice, comes at the same time as a business drive to reinforce service excellence for customers. These service principles are also embedded in a new company vision, mission and values which are being rolled out through a company-wide internal engagement programme.

From 1 July the new company logo will start to appear across livery, signage and communications. The company website will also be re-branded and move to a new address, www.bidvest.co.uk and email addresses will change to @bidvest.co.uk.

Andrew Selley, chief executive of Bidvest Foodservice said: “Changing our name signifies much more than redesigning a logo. Our new identity marks a new era for Bidvest Foodservice in terms of culture, our structure and our operations. To be the best foodservice provider, we must be famous for providing service excellence and making life easier for customers, which in turn will help us build long-term relationships with customers.

“We have worked hard to review every aspect of the business with customer needs in mind, starting with the appointment of local depot General Managers who have a key role in supporting the drive for service excellence. This has enabled us to put decision making closer to the customer, so that our teams can be more responsive to local needs.”

He added: “As part of our review, we identified five key ingredients that our customers demand from their preferred foodservice supplier; from delivering service excellence and providing great food choices, to offering real value, being forward thinking and employing the best team.  These ingredients are the bedrock of our business.”

As part of the extended Bidvest family, Bidvest Foodservice is able to access best practice from around the world and use this to better help customers grow. This also provides the added benefit of financial security, allowing the company to be more entrepreneurial in the market. The investment in a new depot and headquarters in Slough and the recent acquisition of foodservice provider Cimandis in the Channel Islands demonstrates Bidvest Groups’ long term commitment to developing the foodservice business in the UK.

Bidvest Foodservice makes life easier for caterers by supplying more than just great food too. ViVAS from Bidvest Foodservice offers wines, beers and spirits on the same order as customers’ food, whilst the newly formed Bidvest Catering Supplies encompasses an extended offer of non-food and light-wares available to Bidvest Foodservice customers.
