Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I, a proud part of AB InBev, has today announced the appointment of Sunny Mirpuri as Sales Director for Convenience and Wholesale. His new role will come into effect on 6 September.

Sunny joined Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I in 2008 and has held a variety of senior roles across the Off-Trade sales, finance and category management teams. His most recent position was as a Commercial Director, where he oversaw several of the business’ key grocery accounts.

In his new role Sunny will be focused on delivering continued growth and distribution across the brewer’s portfolio in the convenience and wholesale channel, increasing the presence of Budweiser Brewing Group’s strong portfolio of beers, including Budweiser, Stella Artois and Corona.

The Sales Director for Wholesale & Convenience role was previously held by Jessica Markowski. Since taking up the position in 2019, Markowski was instrumental in shoring up supply, and accelerating the digital transformation within the Convenience and Wholesale channel. Jessica has made the decision to move onto new opportunities outside of the business.

“My father owned and ran a wholesale company, so I have first-hand experience of how important convenience and wholesale stores are within local communities,” says Sunny Mirpuri, Sales Director – Convenience & Wholesale, Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I. “I’m excited to step up to the plate and expand on the strong foundations Jessica has built during her tenure. Listening closely to customers and understanding their needs will be a key focus of mine as stores continue to adapt to post-pandemic conditions and beyond.”

Mark Wingfield-Digby, Off-Trade Sales Director, Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I says: “Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to Jessica. She leaves behind an incredible legacy, and we are so grateful for the strong team she’s put in place, as well as the transformation she’s lead in our business.”

“We are delighted to be promoting Sunny to the role of Sales Director for Convenience and Wholesale. Having worked in the business for over 10 years, he has a strong understanding of both our needs and the needs of our customers. His experience will be vital in driving continued growth in the convenience and wholesale channel, and supporting our customers as they navigate the challenges of the post-pandemic landscape.”
