Confex came back with a bang holding their first face to face event since 2019. Their first ever Christmas Trade Fair, held at Stratford Racecourse, had record attendance with over 300 participants and was extremely well received by both members and suppliers. Engagement from all, after such a tumultuous 18months, was fantastic and it was a great opportunity to develop business again in person. The show was followed by an awards dinner where Confex were able to recognise supplier dedication over the past year, as well as award Woods Foodservice Green Wholesaler of the Year, celebrating their impressive environmental initiatives within wholesale.
One of Confex’s newest members, Priya Rawal, from Seven Stars Cash and Carry, echoed the day’s success as:
‘A memorable experience worth every praise and we thank everyone for making sure we were comfortable in every way. We had a great time meeting and connecting with other members and suppliers at the event and look forward to working more closely with Confex going forward.’
Confex’s Jess Douglas stated:
‘It was fantastic to get everyone back together again and we appreciate the members and suppliers taking time out of their extremely busy businesses right now to attend. It reminded us all the importance of human interaction in our industry and were excited about the positive business developments that took place across Confex’s offerings.”
