Sustainably crafted Copalli Rum is delighted to have been awarded both gold and silver at this year’s International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC). 

With the rum category more diverse than ever, premium spirits brand Copalli Rum is thrilled to have received two prestigious awards at this year’s IWSC. In the tasting assessment – which saw rum entries from 48 countries, Copalli achieved top accolades with Copalli Cacao Rum taking home a Gold medal and Copalli White Rum a Silver medal.

The most respected global wine and spirits community, The IWSC has been tasting and reviewing the world’s finest spirits for over 50 years and Copalli’s awards are testament to its high quality rum that is made with just three, simple, and pure ingredients: rainforest canopy water, yeast and organic heirloom sugar cane – there are four natural ingredients in the Cacao rum due to the addition of organic cacao pods.

Copalli Rum puts conservation and community at its core, with no artificial flavourings, added sugar or colouring. Recognising its exceptional flavour and process that infuses organic roasted cacao nibs in its white rum for several weeks, before an additional distillation, Copalli Cacao Rum scored 95 points in the taste test.

Copalli White Rum achieved a Silver medal with 91 points and with judges commenting on its “fresh [and] inviting tropical fruit nose that evolves on the palate with beautiful nuances of green apple peel and fresh banana”. Both medals are exciting additions to add to Copalli Rum’s collection of award wins.
