PHS Teacrate continues to invest in its business by recently acquiring the tool for one of the logistics industry’s most popular crates. Ownership of the LC2 tooling gives the UK’s largest crate rental company the ability to offer customers a better supply of the popular mid-sized attached lidded container (ALC).
Commonly used in retail as a distribution tote, the 54-litre multipurpose LC2 is equally useful throughout all industries and comes with the reassurance that this UK-manufactured crate is made from fully recyclable materials. Its compatibility with the Allibert 1005B/10054 allows it to be inter-stackable with existing crate stock and provides customers with a choice of supplier.
The new tool ownership has also allowed PHS Teacrate to introduce several improvements to the LC2 in response to customer research. A requirement for better security and traceability has resulted in the crate lids being re-designed to accommodate tamper evident seals and have a larger stippled area for the placement of barcode and movement labels. To improve handling, modifications have been made to the base of the ALC to help reduce jamming on conveyor belts.
