Calypso’s iconic lemonade flavours make the leap into confectionery, with two new Sour Wedges varieties now available to order through UK distributor HD Brands.
HD Brands is bringing a new twist to the UK confectionery market with the launch of Calypso Sour Wedges, extending the American lemonade brand beyond the drinks aisle and into sweets.
Working in partnership with US confectionery specialist Impact Confections, HD Brands has been appointed UK distributor for the new range, giving retailers and wholesalers access to two flavour-led additions inspired by Calypso’s iconic lemonades.
The launch introduces two varieties:

Ocean Blue Lemonade – inspired by Calypso’s signature blue lemonade, delivering a fruity, tangy flavour in a chewy, sugar-coated sour wedge.

Lemonade Favorites Mix – a colourful combination of three Calypso-inspired flavours: Strawberry Lemonade, Island Wave Lemonade and Southern Peach Lemonade.
Available in brightly branded 127g (4.5oz) bags, the new sweets carry Calypso’s instantly recognisable yellow logo and tropical design, creating a visual connection between the drinks and confectionery ranges.
A familiar drinks brand, a new confectionery opportunity
The launch brings together two established names in American food and drink: Calypso Lemonades and Impact Confections, the US confectionery business behind other popular candy brands.
For UK retailers, the expansion offers an opportunity to capitalise on Calypso’s existing brand recognition while introducing a new confectionery proposition built around familiar lemonade flavours.
The range also creates cross-merchandising opportunities, allowing retailers to position Calypso Sour Wedges alongside the brand’s drinks or within their existing confectionery offering, encouraging discovery and impulse purchase.
