Taste the Christmas Season as Ginsters Chicken & Stuffing Slice Returns Following Social Media Demand
Ginsters, the category leading savoury pastry brand, is bringing seasonal cheer to fixtures all over the UK with the return of its limited-edition Festive Slice. The Festive Chicken & Stuffing Slice (170g) RRP £1.65 was a huge success in 2021 and is back by popular demand from 14th November 2022.
The slice contributed to Ginsters highest ever December share of market and was popular with both existing fans of the brand and a new family audience. Over half of sales (52%) of the Festive Slice in 2021 were incremental to the category[1] and the slice delivered sales of £435k during the 11 weeks it was in market[2]. Following its resounding 2021 success and a huge social media demand to bring it back,, the slice is returning to delight festive fans in 2022.
Like all Ginsters products, the Festive Chicken & Stuffing Slice heroes’ flavour and quality while delivering delicious Ginsters taste, with no artificial colours, preservatives or flavours. Packed full of 100% British chicken and smoked bacon in a creamy sauce, the slice epitomises the taste of Christmas, with potato, sage and onion stuffing all wrapped in light puff pastry and topped with a crispy sage crumb.
The return of the limited-edition Festive Slice comes after a year of flavour innovation from Ginsters. With over half of consumers (56%) looking to try something new and different in the savoury pastry category[3], the brand’s limited edition ‘Taste of the seasons’ platform also saw the introduction of the Creamy Garlic Mushroom Slice in January and a Four Cheese and Chive Slice for Summer.
These exciting new flavours have successfully driven quick meal conversion and frequency, featuring in 649k baskets[4] since launch, bringing innovation to lunchtimes all over the country.
