Grace Foods UK, the number one supplier of Caribbean food and drink to the UK, is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a campaign involving convenience stores and cash and carries across the country.

To celebrate 100 years of Grace, the company has launched gold 100th anniversary special-edition bottles of its popular Jamaican-style Jerk BBQ Sauce and Jamaican Jerk Seasoning. And to spread the word about this momentous milestone and the gold special-edition bottles of Grace’s legendary Jamaican-style Jerk BBQ Sauce and Jamaican Jerk Seasoning, Grace has launched a campaign with convenience stores and cash carries across the UK.

The 100th anniversary campaign involves in-store promotions with visually striking gold-coloured free-standing display units featuring the gold bottles and offering customers the chance to win £100 in cash. All customers have to do is purchase a jerk BBQ sauce or jerk seasoning special-edition bottle and scan the QR code on the FDSU, which will take them to the competition.

Grace Foods is working with convenience stores and cash and carries in London, Birmingham, Bristol, and Nottingham and the campaign launched in store on 23 May and closes on 23 June.

Talking about the 100th anniversary campaign, Vandu Patel, Marketing Manager for Grace Foods UK, says: “Convenience stores and cash and carries are an integral part of Grace’s business. Our loyal customers love seeing our market-leading brands on the shelves in their local stores and we love working with convenience store shop owners and cash and carries as their dedication to our company helps to keep our brands front and centre of consumers.

“We really wanted them to be a part of our 100th anniversary celebrations, and a competition with visually striking FDSUs that people spot the minute they walk in their store is the best way to achieve this. What a way to celebrate 100 years of Grace.

“And Caribbean food is really having a moment this year. A recent survey by Mintel* found that 46% picked Caribbean food as a food they wanted to sample, and the indications are that Caribbean food will be very popular this year. As well as Grace celebrating its 100th anniversary, Jamaica celebrates 60 years of Jamaican independence – the headquarters of Grace’s parent company Grace Kennedy is in Kingston Jamaica – so it’s a big year for Grace in more ways than one.”
