GroceryAid’s Clay Pigeon Shoot, which took place in glorious sunshine on Friday 24th September at E J Churchill Shooting Ground, West Wycombe, has raised more than £150,000 for grocery colleagues in need. 

This year the annual event, which is supported by Tesco, attracted a record number of 51 teams and over 200 industry colleagues. Following a networking breakfast, the teams took part if five flurries in over 50 acres of woodland. E J Churchill’s experienced instructors supervised the guests, making the day fun for shooters of all abilities.

Additional activities around the course included axe throwing and archery, plus samples from sponsors including Carabao, The Curators, Food Union, Greencore, Perfetti Van Melle, Quorn and Nix & Kix.

After a successful day of shooting, guests enjoyed a BBQ and drinks reception. The day finished with the following winners: 

Individual male: David Long, Cranswick

Individual female: Naomi Rhodes -Tesco

Overall team – Cranswick

Novice team – Casella Family Brands

Category Cup –Beers, Wines and Spirits
