JJ Foodservice is promoting locally-sourced ingredients with a ‘Made in Britain’ campaign to support British Food Fortnight, which started on September 19th 2020.

The campaign includes deals on locally-sourced products, including UK fresh lamb from just £9.99/kg which usually costs up to £18/kg in the supermarkets*.

“Our fresh UK beef and lamb are chef quality – whether you are a restauranteur or a keen cook at home – it’s guaranteed to impress”, said Chief Product Officer, Sezer Ozkul.

Shopping local is becoming increasingly important to JJ Foodservice, which supplies more than 80,000 UK restaurants, takeaways and homes.

“Locally-sourced food is better for the environment and the economy”, said Ozkul.

“British beef and lamb are also produced to some of the highest welfare standards in the world” he added.

“That’s why we are keen to work with more local producers in the future.”

Available now on the JJ website is a ‘Made in Britain’ range of food and drink products.

JJ has also launched a Guide to Celebrating British Food Fortnight to help restaurants and caterers to participate in the event.
