Kimberly Clark has invigorated the baby wipes category with the launch of new Huggies® Baby Wipes for everyday mess. The launch is supported by a £multi-million marketing campaign and satisfies consumer demand in the wipes category for parents who use wipes for purposes other than nappy changing.
The launch was marked with a bespoke one-off event for mums to entertain their little ones during half-term – The Huggies® House of Mess – with messy play activities for under 5s.
Child psychologist Dr Janine Spencer, who actively encourages messy play to develop a child’s physical, emotional and social skills, was also on hand to advise parents and share tips.
The free event, which was open to all parents and kids, was promoted through the parenting website www.netmums.com as well as through social media and supporting PR activity.
The new wipes will also be the official wipe of Gymboree – the UK’s largest and most comprehensive pre-school learning programme involving gym, music, art and yoga classes, to name just a few. The wipes will be used at all Gymboree venues nationwide from July.
