The employee-owned business established in 2001 with the motto, “Customer satisfaction matters so much more when you own the business” has been named as one of Coventry and Warwickshire’s top 50 companies by turnover growth in 2018.
The Kite Packaging Group consists of a UK-wide network of regional distribution centres, with their Ecommerce operation, Waste Compliance business and Coventry regional distribution centre all operating out of the company’s Torrington Avenue site.
This is a really exciting time for the employee-owned business, coming in a year when the group invested in further geographical expansion. The company extended its network of regional distribution centres, opening a new operation in the North East of England increasing their UK network to a total of 7 RDC’s.
The launch of the Kite Packaging ‘Mobile Testing Facility’, the first of its kind in the industry, allows Kite to bring their solutions and expertise directly to customers own sites. At the start of 2019 they launched a company-wide initiative to reduce theirs and their customer’s usage of plastic by 120 tonnes – announcing in May that they are well on their way to achieving the target with the initiative already delivering a 102 tonne of plastic reduction.
