Mars Wrigley UK will offer the nation a special peek inside its Slough factory, as top Michelin-starred chefs aim to recreate the iconic chocolate treat SNICKERS in the TV show Snackmasters.

This Tuesday 27th April at 9pm, watch host Fred Sirieix challenge Tom Brown (chef and owner of Cornerstone in Hackney) and Sabrina Gidda (executive chef at Allbright members club) to crack the secrets behind SNICKERS.

Fred and the chefs visit Mars Wrigley’s 4Line, the home of SNICKERS, MARS and MILKYWAY, to get a glimpse at how up to 2.5 million SNICKERS bars a day are made. Along the way they meet the Mars Wrigley experts who are instrumental in designing, creating and marketing the chocolate treat.

Slough has been at the heart of our business ever since we made our first Mars bar in the town nearly 90-years ago. And it’s wonderful that viewers will get a front row seat to our Slough secrets as we share how a SNICKERS bar is made, as well as the incredible passion and expertise that goes into making each and every one of them.

SNICKERS is the largest chocolate bar brand in the world and the second largest brand in the world behind M&Ms. The treat was first introduced to the UK in the 1930’s as a chocolate bar consisting of nougat, peanuts, and caramel with a chocolate coating. Until 1990 the bar was marketed under the name “Marathon” in the UK and Ireland

Tune into Snackmasters on 27th April at 9pm on Channel 4 to witness who will solve the secretes behind SNICKERS and who will crack under the pressure!
