Popular flavour joins Coated Peanuts range and enters Sharing Crisps format

KP Snacks today announces the expansion of its new McCoy’s Coated Peanuts range, with the launch of a Thai Sweet Chicken flavour. The latest addition follows the range launch earlier this year with Flame Grilled Steak and Salt & Malt Vinegar flavours.

Rolling into stores in a 155g Sharing bag from the end of July, McCoy’s Thai Sweet Chicken peanuts see another iconic McCoy’s flavour make its debut in the Tasty Nuts segment. The new product delivers the familiar sweet, tangy and warming taste that consumers love and expect.

McCoy’s Coated Peanuts offer the perfect mix of great taste and texture, combining the quality of the UK’s number one Tasty Nuts brand[1] with McCoy’s signature punchy flavour.

McCoy’s popular Thai Sweet Chicken flavour is also expanding in the brand’s crisp range, launching in a 140g Sharing bag. By launching in Sharing, the largest segment in Bagged Snacks worth £2.1bn[2], the brand is capitalising on the strength of the format and the growth of in-home snacking occasions.

Worth £204.9m, McCoy’s is growing ahead of the category at +7.5% YOY[3].

Both McCoy’s Thai Sweet Chicken Coated Peanuts (RRP £2.75) and McCoy’s Thai Sweet Chicken Sharing Crisps (RRP £2.50) will launch in Tesco from the end of July ahead of wider rollout. The products will launch with in-store support as well as being a part of the upcoming on-pack promotion with the NFL* as part of the McCoy’s partnership, where consumers can win a trip to next years Superbowl alongside cash prizes. The competition runs from 3.8.26 – 8.11.26.
