NBC was pleased to host the first member and supplier networking event of 2022 at The Belfry – the iconic golfing venue home to many great memories for European Ryder Cup teams.

There was a great turnout from both members and suppliers – NBC is grateful for the time that the members devoted to the event and the way in which suppliers discussed products, ranging and promotions directly with members, the group said in a statement.

Events like these are essential to ensure that wholesalers and suppliers stay connected.

And the lucky few playing the Brabazon course had great weather.

NBC was also pleased to reveal the highlights from the last 12 months: key category sales – soft drinks, snacks, confectionery – enjoyed growth of 50%+ year on year, while NDN sales grew 46%+.

NDN is continuing to track consistent growth year to date of 36% +. Members have had significant challenges since 2020 and are now seeing a return to better trading, the statement said. This is providing confidence to plan and ensure that NBC invests in its capabilities to support both members and suppliers.

NBC plans to improve the resource at its head office in Chipping Norton to further develop the commercial relationships between the group, members, and supplier partners.

The group is also planning to introduce a further benefit of membership of NBC – a Web to Print Brochure service – that any member will be able to access free of charge. This complements the wider marketing services support that is available through the group and its marketing partners, May Marketing.
