NBC once again sponsored The Arthingworth Open, a charity golf day helping to raise funds for Cancer Charities. The Arthingworth Open was held on the 7th of September and a great group of golfers had fun in the sun and celebrated the prize winners at a golf dinner held at The Bull’s Head in Arthingworth. More importantly, with the help of the organisers and NBC’s sponsorship, £1,000.00 was raised for Cancer Charities in memory of Cathy Newman, a regular participant and member of the golf club.
Commenting upon the event, David Lunt, Managing Director “I have been a big supporter of charity events over the years, running a very large number of marathons and raising funds for well deserving charities. This group of people have constantly not forgotten one of their own and it is an honour to support them and help raise funds for a very important cause”. The winners were Samuel Campion and Cathy Reeves and we look forward to next year’s event.
