The Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA), as part of its ongoing work to help the wholesale industry transition to net zero, is partnering with Renault Trucks and contract hire company, Vertellus, to offer members – both wholesalers and suppliers – the opportunity to rent a fully electric Renault Trucks E-Tech D 18-tonne HGV (rigid, curtainsider or refrigerated) for 12 months, at the near equivalent cost of renting a diesel HGV. Vertellus is also supplying the required charger, but members can claim back £3,000.

The Country Range Group has welcomed its first foodservice wholesale member from mainland Europe after the announcement that Europ Foods has joined the Group as its 15th member. The move will see Europ Foods become the first company to roll out the Group’s impressive three-tiered own brand portfolio in international markets, while also benefitting from the Group’s buying power, promotions, analysis, data and insights and wide-ranging marketing campaigns.
