A new industry-wide study by market insight company Lumina has placed Parfetts top of the league in both promotions and the ease of use of the depot.

The research looked at the attitudes of 5,000 independent retailers nationwide. It placed Parfetts ahead of its competitors for the types of promotion, brands you can buy on promotion, types of products in the promotional plan and special rebates.

Commenting on the findings, Guy Swindell, retail director at Parfetts, said: “The new study from Lumina is a great recognition of the hard work everyone at Parfetts has done to ensure our retailers have the support they need to trade effectively.”

Parfetts’ depot network also ranked first for the ease of finding products and ordering via the phone.

The wholesaler has continued to invest in improving the service it provides to its Go Local and retail club members. Over the last 12 months, enhancements have been made to cash and carry and delivered operations with new facilities and the extension of Aintree and Sheffield depots to increase capacity for its delivered operation.

The investment programme is attracting new retailers with over 150 stores added to the Go Local symbol group in 2020, taking it to 650 in total, and the company claims it is on track to achieve its goal of 1,000 members.
