Pipers is launching its biggest trade-facing campaign to date to support the hospitality industry as the UK moves out of lockdown in accordance with the government’s roadmap. Launching from mid-April, The Great Taste Tour promotion offers operators the opportunity to win a range of prizes after simply purchasing a promotional case of Pipers crisps*.
Katy Hamblin, marketing manager at Pipers crisps, said: “The hospitality industry has had its toughest year to date, with wholesalers and their customers alike facing some real hardships. As we welcome consumers safely back into our pubs, cafés, and restaurants, we wanted to ensure that wholesalers and their customers have the chance to benefit from a promotion and be rewarded with prizes to enjoy.
“The Great Taste Tour celebrates our unique flavour partners and the exceptional regional ingredients that make every pack taste special. This campaign is solely aimed at giving back to operators, giving them the chance to win one of five Great Taste Escapes each to a heroed regional location featured on case*.”
The campaign will run from the 19th of April through to the 19th of June 2021 across promotional cases of 24x40g or 40x40g case of Pipers crisps. Through the on-case promotion, operators will be given the chance to win one of 225 gourmet prizes. Prizes span from mini-breaks worth £1,000 through to annual memberships to the Gourmet Society. Runner up prizes include 20 Great Taste Experiences such as a luxury afternoon tea, a meal in a fine-dining restaurant, a vineyard tour, or even a cocktail masterclass as well as 200 annual memberships to the Gourmet Society, an exclusive dining club offering 25% off meals and drinks at restaurants across the UK.
The promotional cases will be available to purchase across a selection of Pipers flavours; Anglesey Sea Salt, Lye Cross Cheddar & Onion, Kirkby Malham Chorizo, Arreton Tomato, and Berwick Longhorn Beef. For the chance to win, customers need to scan the QR code on their purchased case of Pipers and be taken to a page to find out if they are a winner instantly.
