Premier Foods has secured two honours at the prestigious FDF awards, which recently took place in London. Katherine Cook, Innovation Manager at Premier Foods was named the ‘Rising Star’, while the company picked up the award for ‘Exporter of the Year’.

Praised for her strategic, consumer-centric and collaborative approach, Katherine fought off tough competition from a host of other young, ambitious individuals that have been tipped to have an impact on the FMCG industry in the coming years. She was awarded the ‘Rising Star’ award having helped bring Batchelors Cup A Soup to market in just six months, which has played a part in reinvigorating the category and has driven branded growth for Premier Foods.

Gavin Darby, chief executive of Premier Foods, comments: “The FDF awards are among the most prestigious in the industry, so to have been recognised in two categories is excellent. Katherine Cook is one of a number of team members to have come through the company from our popular graduate scheme, and has the potential to go very far. She is a stand-out performer who is intellectually curious and highly engaged in the company strategy.”

Premier Foods’ second trip to the podium was to collect the ‘Exporter of the Year’ award after the company has continued to deliver on its ambitious growth trajectory. The company’s products are now found in 40 countries, with over 800 SKUs available internationally; it partners with local retailers to build long-lasting, insight driven relationships.
