Last year a number of colleagues and members of Unitas Wholesale enjoyed an element of friendly rivalry embarking on a Fantasy Football league competition, with the winner choosing to contribute their winnings to a charity of their choice. The winner was Unitas Wholesale member, Chris Hughes, MD of Regal Wholesale, the online discount distributor of household, health & beauty, grocery and paper products in the Wirral, Merseyside. Chris has chosen to donate the sum of £1,300 to Wirralbased charity the UTS Foundation, which provides accessible and free structured coaching, health, fitness and well-being sessions to vulnerable community groups across the area.
Tony Berry, Project Manager of UTS commented: “UTS relies massively upon the generosity and support of the wonderful Wirral public who help us deliver fully funded programmes, which helps Foundation Members recover from very serious illness. Chris’ donation will be used to pay for a series of additional weekly yoga sessions, which many of our cancer patients already regularly enjoy. We cannot thank him enough.”
