Promotional packs are rolling out now, ahead of integrated in-store, social, influencer and out-of-home activity
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) is helping retailers gear up for the festive sales opportunity with a new Schweppes campaign in partnership with Netflix’s The Gentlemen.
Promotional packs are rolling out now and the campaign will run through to December, tapping into at-home hosting and festive get-togethers. The on-pack promotion gives shoppers the chance to win a New Year’s Eve party experience at Schweppes Manor, as well as Schweppes cocktail kits and shopping vouchers.
To enter, shoppers simply scan the QR code on promotional packs and upload an image of a participating product. Valid entries will be entered into one of three monthly prize draws, with shoppers in with the chance of winning cocktail kits and shopping vouchers. Entries made during the first two months will also be automatically entered into a Grand Prize Draw for the chance to win one of five one-night stays and New Year’s Eve party tickets for two at Schweppes Manor, taking place on 31st December 2026*.
The campaign comes as 59% of consumers say they plan to make more cocktails at home[1], while shoppers are also more willing to trade up and tend to enjoy longer get-togethers during the festive period[2]. This creates a strong opportunity for retailers to drive adult soft drinks sales as shoppers stock up for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Schweppes is GB’s number one branded mixer by volume sales[3], with one in three mixer shoppers buying the brand in the last 12 months[4]. It also leads branded mixers on penetration and repeat purchase[5], putting it in a strong position to help retailers capitalise on increased demand around festive hosting occasions.
The partnership coincides with the launch of the second season of Netflix’s The Gentlemen, following a first season which attracted 12.2 million viewers in its first week[6].
Bringing together Schweppes’ British heritage with the series’ sharp wit and distinctive style, the campaign will bring the partnership to life through in-store activation, experiential and serve-led activity, supported by digital, social media, influencer and out-of-home advertising.
The campaign is running across promotional limited edition 1L bottles, mini-cans and mini-can 12-packs. The activity spans the Schweppes range, including Slimline Tonic Water, Soda Water, and Indian Tonic Water.
Rob Yeomans, Vice President of Commercial Development, at CCEP GB, said: “The festive period is a major sales opportunity for adult soft drinks, as shoppers get together more often, entertain at home and look to make those occasions feel special.
“Schweppes is already a firm favourite with mixer shoppers, and our partnership with The Gentlemen gives retailers another reason to create standout displays and inspire shoppers in the run-up to Christmas and New Year.
“With promotional packs rolling out now and the wider campaign going live in October, we’re giving our customers plenty of opportunity to build excitement, drive take-home sales and make the most of this important trading period.”
