With smaller plates and flexible dining continuing to influence dessert menus, Country Range Group has bolstered its Signature by Country Range portfolio with the roll out of a trio of premium individual desserts.
Perfect for everything from the traditional dessert course and afternoon teas to smaller sweet treats, the individually portioned format gives operators valuable flexibility. Supplied frozen, caterers can defrost only what they need, helping improve portion control, minimise waste and maintain consistent presentation without the labour involved in creating premium desserts from scratch.
Crafted using high-quality ingredients and taking inspiration from some of the key trends shaping dessert menus, the new tempting trio includes:
Individual Banoffee Tart (16 portions) – a butter pastry tart filled with sliced bananas, caramel sauce and banana mousse, finished with chocolate and caramel curls and a dusting of cocoa. Hand assembled for a homemade appearance, it gives a much-loved classic a premium Signature finish.
Individual Salted Caramel, Chocolate & Profiterole Dessert (20 portions) – an indulgent combination of chocolate sponge, salted caramel and Belgian white chocolate mousse, topped with a dark chocolate truffle-covered profiterole, dark chocolate shavings and cocoa powder. Hand assembled for an artisan-style finish, it delivers the kind of visual impact and indulgence that can help make dessert feel like a genuine treat when eating out.
Individual Deep Fill Passionfruit Tart (16 portions) – a baked passionfruit tart made with passionfruit, cream and eggs in a sweet pastry case. Designed as a versatile blank canvas, chefs can serve it straight from the pack or personalise it with fruit, sauces and toppings to create their own signature presentation.
The new sweet treats are available immediately via the Country Range Group network of independent wholesalers.
Rachel Porter, Country Range Group Own Brand Manager, said:
“Dessert and afternoon tea menus continue to be huge crowd-pleasers in hospitality venues of all sizes, but there are now more opportunities to tempt customers with something sweet throughout the day, whether that’s a traditional dessert, afternoon tea, a smaller treat or something indulgent alongside a coffee. For caterers, desserts have to work commercially as well as look and taste fantastic. Individual portions allow kitchens to defrost according to demand, helping to control portions and minimise waste, while giving chefs a premium, consistent finish with very little preparation.”
“Our latest arrivals to the Signature by Country Range portfolio deliver on both sides. From the familiar comfort of banoffee and the indulgence of Belgian chocolate, salted caramel and profiterole to the fresh, vibrant passionfruit tart, there is something for different tastes and occasions. They look fantastic straight from the pack, but there is also plenty of opportunity for chefs to add their own creativity, particularly with the Passionfruit Tart, which provides a brilliant blank canvas for seasonal fruit, sauces and garnishes. They’re visually stunning, great tasting and will help add some glitz and glamour to any dessert menu.”
