Yum Yum Bros, the gourmet snacks company has added two and four pack wrapped cookies to its Ndulge premium bakery range.
The cookies are made to popular, classic recipes with a careful balance of top quality ingredients for maximum taste, flavour and texture. Varieties include: Stem Ginger; Chocolate, All Butter and Butter Raisin. “We have designed the packaging to appeal to the current consumer trend of eating on the go and sharing. Because the cookies are wrapped they can be slipped into a bag or pocket to eat on the run when it suits and with four in the pack there are enough to share.” Says Yum Yum bros managing director, Mark Stack.
Other Ndulge lines include irresistibly indulgent wrapped slices, bars, cakes, muffins and bites – think rich Belgian chocolate, mouth watering caramel and tantalising toffee. Definitely naughty but nice! Options include: Chocolate Tiffin with crunchy biscuit, French cherries and plump sultanas; Intense Chocolate Brownie bar packed with rich fudgy chocolate; Rocky Road bar which has chewy chocolate bursting with marshmallow, raisins and biscuit; Chocolate and Toffee mini muffin. Plus, Ndulge Fruitfully and Very Buttery Flapjacks and Butter Raisin Cookie Bites. The range is available in wrapped single serve portions and multi portion grab bags and tubs for sharing.
Don’t overlook healthy options
“The ‘lipstick effect’, that is consumers treating themselves with affordable luxuries has helped boost sales of premium snacks. But operators shouldn’t overlook healthy options which is where the real growth is.” Says Mark.
The growth in ‘green consumerism’ means that people are reading product labels and making a health-conscious decision to switch to natural and “free-from” alternatives. “That’s why we launched Oh My Goodness! cereal bars and bites which are loaded with flaked oats, English spelt, seeds, flax, honey and real pieces of vine fruits and berries, just as nature intended, wild and not refined.” Oh My Goodness! is as it says, packed full of natural ingredients and free from preservatives, additives, trans fats, GMO, nuts and dairy; Low in saturated fat and approved by the Vegetarian Society. Available in large tubs and grab bags for sharing or single serve mini tubs and cereal bars.
“Whilst it is important to include the ever popular caramel shortcake, flapjacks and brownies in any sweet snack offer, operators need to source healthier options to stay ahead of the curve.” Says Mark.
