The National Buying Consortium has announced that Stuart Lane has now decided to fully relinquish his formal ties as a director.

Lane was one of the founding members of NBC and the first chairman to assume the role back in 2019.

Having been well known and respected within the industry from his lifelong experience with Lansdell Soft Drinks, Lane was an obvious and immediate choice for the members of the group as they started their new life outside of their previous buying group.

Following the sale of his company to Chapple & Jenkins, Lane has slowly started to wind down his contributions to the group.

“We are privileged to have been able to have Stuart on our side and in those first formative years we are in a much better place having had his leadership and guidance available to anyone that needed it,” comments David Longfellow, Chairman of NBC.

Commenting upon his change of direction with the group, Lane states: “it has been a tremendous pleasure to have been involved and working with a group of businesses that have the same values and principles – whilst we have had many challenges during our journey, including the pandemic, the group has gone from strength to strength and the leadership team that has evolved over such a short period of time has ensured that the group is now well positioned for the future and that allows me to focus my own personal time and attention to new challenges. I wish everyone at NBC good fortune, and I advise them to stick to the original foundations of the business that has made it the success that it is”.

The group is now seeking interested applicants from the NBC membership to take on the role of member director wishes both Stuart and Donna well.
