Filters and papers specialist Republic Technologies (UK) Ltd is celebrating the 130th anniversary of iconic British brand Swan with an eye-popping range of limited edition packaging for its top-selling products.


The new packaging is guaranteed to catch the attention of consumers, with the following products available in the pop-art style designs:

• Slim Loose filter tips

• Extra Slim POP filter tips

• Slim POP filter tips

Retailers are encouraged to capitalise on the brand’s heritage, and the innovative new designs, by using Swan to sign-post the roll your own fixture.

“2013 marks 130 years since the launch of the Swan brand. Since then, it has become synonymous with quality, British design and innovation. By stocking the limited edition packaging, retailers can reinvigorate their customers’ interest in the fixture and create a talking point,” says Eleni Koulara, Marketing Manager, Republic Technologies (UK) Limited.


The first Swan matches were produced in 1883 and since then, the brand has grown into an instantly recognisable part of British culture.

The launch comes as the Swan brand, Britain’s Favourite Filter, continues to maintain its dominance of the £62 million RYO filters market, accounting for almost 90% of all filters sold (source: Nielsen, February MAT 2013 – Market Track).
