Living wage employer, Dunsters Farm Foodservice, has sponsored the Retail and Hospitality Champion Award at this year’s Living Wage Champion Awards.

Held on 6th July at the National Football Museum in Manchester, the Living Wage Champion Awards celebrate individuals and organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to the living wage movement. Rosslyn Coffee and Fill Refill were both crowned Retail and Hospitality Champions.

Dunsters Farm aligned itself with the living wage in 2022 to signal its commitment to ensuring that their team are paid fairly and feel valued in the face of the cost of living crisis. As a result, all employees receive a minimum hourly wage of £10.90, significantly higher than the government minimum wage.

Hannah Barlow, Managing Director of Dunsters Farm, said: “We’re delighted to have showcased our commitment to the living wage movement by sponsoring and presenting this award. The Living Wage Champion Awards is a fantastic initiative which will hopefully encourage more employers to support their team by becoming accredited themselves.

“Over the past 60 years, Dunsters Farm has had a strong reputation for looking after our people. Over the past few years, we have committed to a new benefit for our team each year and in 2022, we were delighted to become a Real Living Wage Employer. We’ve since seen a huge positive impact across retention, recruitment and team wellbeing. Not only is it a good thing to do, it makes great business sense.”
