The UK’s largest confectionery distributor, World of Sweets, has unveiled the latest exciting launch from Gumi Yum Surprise, with a brand-new Minions range set to hit the UK market this summer.

Gumi Yum Surprise Minions will be distributed through World of Sweets’ extensive route to market, including sister company Bobby’s, World of Sweets field sales and national accounts, and Hancocks Cash & Carry. The launch gives convenience, independent, forecourt, wholesale and national account retailers the opportunity to stock an innovative candy and toy product tied to one of the biggest family film launches of the year.

The new Gumi Yum Surprise Minions range will be available from 1 June 2026, launching ahead of the release of Minions & Monsters in cinemas on 1 July 2026.

Gumi Yum Surprise offers a perfect combination of a sweet treat and a premium-quality novelty toy and is aimed at young, sweet-toothed customers and parents looking for fun and affordable confectionery.

Mouthwatering candy in fruit-flavoured gummy candy strips can be unwrapped from an egg inner to reveal a surprise toy inside.

The sugar-dusted candy is layered in eight flavours: cherry, strawberry, orange, pineapple, lemon, green apple, blue raspberry and grape.

The new Gumi Yum Surprise Minions range adds the huge appeal of one of the world’s most recognisable family entertainment brands to an already successful novelty confectionery format.

Gumi Yum Surprise has already delivered strong results in the UK market, achieving £4.6m UK RSV and becoming one of the strongest-performing singles lines in convenience multiples.

The launch is expected to drive further excitement around the brand, with Minions continuing to be one of the most successful animated franchises globally. The wider Despicable Me and Minions franchise has passed $5bn at the worldwide box office, making it the first animated film franchise to reach that milestone.

Gumi Yum Surprise Minions will be available in 26g single units, packed 18 per case, with an RRP of £1.50. Pre-filled FSDUs will also be available to support strong in-store visibility.
