No Fear Extreme Energy is set to make its official television debut, with the announcement that the UK’s fastest growing, large format energy drink, is teaming up with SKY TV’s, Extreme Sports Channel.
The drinks manufacturer, Aimia Foods, has signed up to a five month campaign with the UK’s number one TV channel for extreme sports, and has developed a series of idents, which will feature on all programmes across the channel. This will generate 28,000 credits for the drink that made history in 2010, with the launch UK’s first re-sealable drinks can.
Neal Haworth, No Fear Extreme Energy’s brand manager, explained: “This is our first big step into television sponsorship so it’s an exciting time for the brand.
“The channel is perfectly targeted at our key audience, as it’s the only TV station dedicated to adrenaline pumping sports such as skateboarding, bmx, surfing and snowboarding, seven days a week, which naturally fits with everything No Fear Extreme Energy represents.”
When the drink launched it was an immediate success and in one 12 week period in 2010 alone, achieved a 524% growth*. To build on the success of the product this year, it is being supported by an extensive national marketing campaign, using both online and offline media. Social media through www.drinknofear.co.uk is playing a pivotal role, as well as an exciting events calendar.
A £1 million investment is being made which not only includes the Extreme Sports Channel sponsorship, but also, national advertising, media and store promotions, national events, PR stunts and an ongoing dedicated press office.
