The B2B e-Commerce market is steadily growing and currently worth £75 billion in the UK, which is more than double the B2C market with similar trends reflected internationally.

Forrester predicts that on a global level by 2020, B2B e-commerce will account for $6.7 trillion in trade worldwide and will be over twice the size of the B2C market at $3.2 trillion.

This rapid growth in digital ordering is exposing a demanding need for wholesale and distribution companies to tap into alternative revenue streams by expanding their offerings to include online sales and exports.

Aphix Software in partnership with UK based ERP providers Intact Software has helped Irish companies to generate over €200 million in online sales and mobile orders in the past 5 years.

When combined, the Aphix platform manages the online sales process and feeds the information in real-time back to Intact’s ERP software resulting in faster sales, increased revenue and improved customer service levels.

By implementing a solid digital sales strategy with an experienced eCommerce platform provider, B2B companies can take advantage of the growing trend in online sales to add new customers and to reach new markets.

Intact Group Sales Director Mark McArdle said of the Aphix partnership “We had customers coming to us looking for a solution to the unique challenges they faced with getting their business model online. They could see the potential to grow their business with digital but were unsure where to turn.

They already trusted us to provide their ERP and knew it was vital that any online solution had to be able to ‘talk to’ their Intact system.

We worked closely with Aphix to deliver the right solution and 5 years on, we return to them again and again when customers come to us with the same problems and ambitions for growth.”

Aphix software CEO Graham O’Rourke cemented Aphix’s passion for helping B2B companies to grow and how the support of Intact and their customers has been vital in achieving this, “We passionately believe that by better connecting buyers and sellers we drive growth and simplify business for our customers.

Intact software and their customers have been paramount to our ability to do this and to continue to do this into the future. Without those first Intact customers trusting us to help them solve their unique business challenges we wouldn’t have been able to go on and help so many more.

We are now in a great position to work with B2B companies across the UK, Ireland and further afield to help them take advantage of the huge opportunities in the B2B marketplace to grow and scale their business with the right digital tools.”

Enterprise Ireland’s Niall McEvoy, ICT Accelerate Manager of Enterprise Irelands High Potential Start-up Division said, “Aphix Software is an excellent example of an innovative Irish company that has identified a need for businesses and through this strategic partnership has seen how their client companies have increased productivity and efficiency in a cost-effective manner. Enterprise Ireland supports Irish companies with a global ambition to build scale and expand their reach in international markets, and we look forward to supporting Aphix Software through this next phase of growth.”
