Leading New Zealand wine brand, Brancott Estate, has partnered with emerging designer Benjamin Craven to bring a fresh perspective to the Brancott Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2018, with the release of four limited edition label designs.
The latest design partnership by the Marlborough-based wine brand sees UK designer Benjamin Craven bring to life the Marlborough landscape currently depicted on the Brancott Estate label, as well as the flavours and aromas of the ever-popular Brancott Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.Toni Ingram, Head of Marketing at Pernod Ricard UK, comments: “Brancott Estate is currently the number two New Zealand Wine brand in the UK and accounts for 12.8% of New Zealand’s wine sales¹. In particular, the Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc is immensely popular with UK households as it is currently the number two white wine sku in the market¹.
These fantastic designs will increase desirability of an already hugely popular wine, whilst continuing to drive growth into the New Zealand Wine category. We are confident these Limited Edition bottles will capture the imagination of shoppers and create great standout on shelf. Retailers should take advantage of these bottles as we approach Easter, a key period for driving sales in the wine category.”
In the designs, Benjamin reimagined the picturesque landscape of the Marlborough region, from the vineyards to the clear blue skies, dissecting the original labels and putting his own perspective on each of the elements. Ben describes the labels as the perfect pairing of Brancott Estate’s heritage set against his abstract geometric style, and his passion for colour and pattern.
Of the designs, Benjamin says, “I wanted to bring the Brancott Estate personality to life with vibrant colours and my contemporary style, the geometric shapes. It was about bringing the flavours of the wine and the Marlborough landscape to life in a fun, playful design but also staying true to the original label.”
Patrick Materman, Brancott Estate Chief Winemaker says, “Brancott Estate is known for creating wines that are fresh, vibrant and bursting with flavour. It is exciting to see how Benjamin has interpreted the wine flavours using pinks and yellows, as well as capturing the geometry and contrasting colours of our vineyards in Marlborough, New Zealand.”
The Brancott Estate Limited Edition Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2018 will be available in the UK from the end of February.
