Cashzone, one of the UK’s leading independent ATM operators, has secured a five year contract to supply cash machine services across Great Britain, to Makro, one of the UK’s largest cash and carry operators. Cashzone beat off strong industry competition to provide a fully managed service to 30 Makro stores.
Cashzone already operates over 4,000 machines across Great Britain and will now supply an unbeatable service to suit the specific requirements of Makro’s staff and customers. The Cashzone package comprises a free to use ATM at each store, with round the clock engineering and cash management support.
Makro’s objective was to quickly implement a complete cash machine service for its stores. This involved a stringent tender process, and as a result Cashzone was in the best position to be able to deliver swiftly and on budget.
Pauline Stephens, head of financial accounting at Makro said: “We were looking for a suitable and reliable partner to support the rollout of new cash machines across our 30 stores nationwide. It is important to us, with the varied needs of our customers that the machines are readily available and free to use. Cashzone successfully met all of our business needs.”
Rikki Dinsmore, Managing Director at Cashzone, commented, “We pride ourselves on keeping cash flowing with ATM services throughout the UK. Our flexible offering maximises revenue for clients by ensuring quick response and fast problem solving. This unrivalled efficiency and ability to provide every type of ATM is exactly what Makro required for their national rollout. We are very pleased with the win and looking forward to a successful partnership.”
Cashzone has been formed from a combination of three of the strongest names in the independent cash machine market; Cardpoint, Moneybox and Travelex. Cashzone is one of the largest independent ATM operators in the UK market with around 4,000 cash machines across the country; over a fifth of the independent cash machine market.
Cashzone currently provides ATM’s to some of the UK’s largest retail and leisure brands, including: MacDonald’s, Road Chef, Waitrose, Texaco and Booths.
