• Corona, the global beer brand known for its ties to the beach and nature, aims to inspire the UK to rediscover the outside and explore our local paradise safely, through its new campaign
  • The campaign includes travel inspiration via Culture Trip featuring a content series and an interactive map of curated hidden paradises, much loved places and off the beaten track locations
  • New TV ad, digital campaign and nationwide trade promotion to win hundreds of UK staycations at handpicked independent hotels

As the UK emerges from lockdown, Corona is looking to inspire the nation to rediscover the power of the outdoors and help people disconnect in order to reconnect with the natural world.

Launching today as part of the brand’s global Rediscover Paradise initiative, Corona has unveiled an online travel hub to provide inspiration and guidance to discover the hidden gems and off the-beaten track locations across the UK in partnership with Culture Trip – the go-to place for travellers to get inspired, plan and book.

Live now at theculturetrip.com/topics/rediscover-paradise-corona, the platform will highlight 30 handpicked nature spots to discover, encouraging people to take that first step to travelling again, starting with safely exploring the beauty of the UK.

Corona will be showcasing the beauty of the UK through a content series and interactive map, featuring hidden beaches, stunning sunset vistas, and out-of-the-way spots of natural beauty to encourage Britons to switch off from their busy lives and reconnect with nature and the outdoors.

Demand for domestic travel looks set to soar. Despite the recent loosening of government restrictions around travel, two thirds of Brits (64%)* still claim that they would feel unsafe boarding a plane.

Culture Trip has reported an almost 50% uplift in UK traffic** from Brits looking for staycations since the moment restrictions were lifted – and it is currently the number one country of interest for its UK audience.

Wanting to discover a hidden paradise off the beaten track, three quarters of staycation bookings are for more remote, rural locations.

The campaign will further inspire the UK to ‘Rediscover Paradise’ with TV and digital advertising. The new TV advert will be set within Corona’s existing world of blue vistas and remote nature spots, encouraging people to embrace the freedom of the outdoors to reconnect with our essential nature.

In addition, Corona will be offering hundreds of UK staycations through a trade promotion in Tesco, NISA, Cost Cutter, Booker and Parfetts, where shoppers can win UK getaways at hand-picked independent hotels in outdoor beauty spots.

Liz Hemus, Marketing Manager Corona said: “Corona was born on the beach and believes that it’s the outdoors where our best side shines through, so after months of lockdown we want to inspire people to get out, disconnect and explore – safely, and with care.

“Our ‘Rediscover Paradise’ platform has been established to encourage people to safely take that first step in getting back to travel, starting with discovering the beauty of the UK.”
