With research showing that hunger, rather than price, continues to drive snacking, French bakery manufacturer Délifrance has extended its hot sandwich Provencette Panini offering. Marking the relaunch and extension of its 16-year best selling snacking range with new striking and simplified point of sale material and caterer promotions throughout spring, the new look Délifrance Provencette Panini collection includes a new tomato, basil and mozzarella microwaveable pre-filled, pre-grilled panini, a reduced salt small panini and the introduction of the visually appealing pre-sliced, bar marked Grilly range.
“There is around 20 million snacking occasions throughout the year meaning both health and indulgence options are in high demand,” explains Délifrance Head of Foodservice Lucy Pickersgill. “When driven by hunger, satisfying and higher margin meal solutions will encourage consumer spend. With five free paninis in select boxes and the potential to make around £154 profit per box, the Provencette range offers better value than ever and is one of the most lucrative Délifrance food solutions available.”
She continues: “Vegetarian is still a popular choice hence our new tomato, basil and mozzarella flavour and our new smaller 17cm panini scratch bread meets FSA 2012 salt guidelines which, combined with its compact size, is perfect for caterers wanting to create a healthier base for a hot sandwich filling.”
The Délifrance Provencette Paninis are all made with extra virgin olive oil and include a wide range of scratch panini breads including the “essential” collection of plain, cracked black pepper, herb and a sesame and nigella panini, a range of ultra convenient, microwaveable pre-filled pre-grilled snacks and its latest addition – the “Grilly” – which gives caterers the flexibility to display appetising panini sandwiches to grow sales.
“While sandwiches continue to be the mainstay of all day food sales, the key lies in giving customers quality and choice in a way that’s convenient to prepare and gives the option to eat on or off the premises,” Lucy adds. “Our Provencette breads come with take away branded bags and have a range of newly branded POS and grills available to maximise caterers’ fast food offering. And with two in three adults now snacking on the move, the variety of Délifrance “grab and go” choices are the perfect way to entice customers and create opportunities for profit.”
