summer-pud.jpgFarmhouse Fare, UK market leader in the £80 million traditional puddings market, is launching its biggest ever range of summer puddings to help maintain strong growth and increase its all-year-round brand appeal
The Daniels Group subsidiary is introducing a range of five summer family puddings targeted at family dining occasions. The new chilled range (450g – 550g pack sizes with an rrp from £3.49), comprises Jumble Fruit Crumble, Strawberries and Cream Bread & Butter Pudding, Summer Fruit Pudding, Blueberry & Lemon Sponge Pudding and Sticky Carrot Cake Pudding.

The launch comes as Farmhouse Fare is growing at twice the rate of the total chilled desserts market, with sales increasing at 19% compared to total market growth of 7% (source: TNS December 30 2007).

“The nation’s growing interest in food has led to a resurgence in occasional family dining, featuring traditional puddings as part of the meal occasion, providing they are really good quality,” says Farmhouse Fare founder Helen Colley.

“The new Farmhouse Fare summer range will help to promote all-year-round consumption of traditional puddings, enabling people to indulge themselves at mealtimes in the summer, in the knowledge that the pudding they’re eating is made in a traditional farmhouse way.”

Like all Farmhouse Fare puddings, the new summer range is made by hand on a small scale, using fresh, local ingredients.

Demand for Farmhouse Fare products has risen sharply in the last 12 months, most noticeably following the brand’s first ever TV sponsorship and a new pack design last Autumn, allied to broader and greater depth of distribution across key multiple retailers.
