Fentimans, the awardwinning maker of botanically brewed beverages, has been named in the Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 league for the second year running. The inclusion in the Top 100 league follows an image overhaul and rebrand costing £1.2m, earlier this year.

The drinks manufacturer, which employs 34 members of staff at its headquarters in Hexham, Northumberland has seen international sales growth of over 46% in the past two years. In 2017, annual turnover reached £30m, with international sales accounting for over £11 million.

Along with consumers across the globe looking to premiumise their soft drink and mixer offerings, American customers’ taste for its Pink Grapefruit Tonic Water has particularly supported to drive export sales.

Fentimans Export Director, Piero Alberici, commented: “2017 was another significant year for Fentimans on the international stage. We now export to over 70 countries; we have witnessed significant volume growth and we have launched a series of successful new products. It has propelled us to the position of a leading, innovative worldwide company in the premium soft drinks and mixer sectors. Our flexible strategic approach coupled with a first-class team will enable us to continue this growth into 2018.”
