Frieslandcampina, the Dutch dairy giant, is once again pulling out all the stops to deliver a brand-new and exciting offering to UK convenience retailers and wholesalers. Committed to innovating the soft drinks category, this latest move sees the introduction of a delicious on-the-go coffee drink; Barista Coffee Co, guaranteed to put a bounce back into your step.

One in ten households now buys Ready to Drink Coffee[1], offering retailers a fantastic opportunity to grow their offering. Initially launching the drink in two flavours of 250ml; traditional Caffe Latte, and Caramel Latte, FrieslandCampina has plans to release more flavours before the end of the year. The delicious coffee drink appeals to people looking for an affordable cold coffee that doesn’t compromise on taste. Packaged in a stylish can, the product is guaranteed to offer stand-out on shelf and tap into the ever growing on-the-go market.

Coffee growth is stronger than ever before in convenience, growing 31% year on year compared with 24% in the total market[2]. Taking a strategic decision to offer Barista Coffee Co. exclusively to convenience and wholesale retailers firmly cements the company’s position as one that prioritises its partners and actively seeks to grow the category.

Wayne Thompson, Business Unit Controller for Out of Home at FrieslandCampina said, “Year on year, ready-to-Drink Coffee added more absolute value to the category than any other segment[3], so it makes absolute sense that we’d move into this space. Our commitment lies with our retailers. We want to ensure we’re giving them the tools they need to sell soft drinks successfully, and drive profitability. We’re really proud to have Barista Coffee Co. as part of the FrieslandCampina portfolio and are excited that we’re able to offer such an innovative range of products.”
