Parfetts’ Trading Director Greg Suszczenia has been promoted to the position of Joint Managing Director working alongside David Grimes.
Both Greg and David have had long careers with the company. Greg began as a buyer before managing Parfetts’ Halifax depot. He rejoined the Head Office Trading team in 2008 becoming Trading Director in 2010.
David started out as the Company Financial Accountant before taking on the position of Deputy General Manager as part of the Sheffield depot opening team – a role for which he received an FWD Gold Medal. He became Finance Director in 2006 and Managing Director in 2011 following Steve Parfett’s decision to step down after more than 20 years in the role. He is also a board director of Landmark Wholesale.
David welcomed Greg’s appointment saying: “Greg and I have worked very closely together over the last 4 years, engineering the business transition from family-owned to employee ownership as well as coping with all the usual business challenges. Parfetts has ambitious and exciting development plans for 2015. Greg’s wealth of knowledge and experience will help us to achieve our long-term objectives and maintain our excellent pattern of growth over the next few years.”
Greg said that he is delighted with the role: “I`m grateful to David for sharing the title of Managing Director as it will help those understand our business who aren’t quite close enough to it. Going forward David and I will continue with our plans to shape the business into one fit for a long-term future.”
Parfetts was founded in 1980 and has been employee-owned since 2008. The company has recently announced its results for the financial year ending 30th June 2014 recording turnover of £308,765,026 and a pre-tax profit of £3.6m.
