Kikkoman, makers of the world’s best-selling soy sauce has won a Great Taste Award for three products comprising Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce, Teriyaki Marinade and Tamari Glutenfree Soy Sauce.
Kikkoman’s General Manager, Bing-Yu Lee commented, “We are thrilled with the endorsement from Great Taste, which is organised by the Guild of Fine Food. This award confirms what foodies and chefs have been saying for decades; that Kikkoman products consistently deliver on taste and quality. Our flagship product, Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce uses just four ingredients – soy beans, wheat, salt and water. It is still made using the traditional brewing method which gives it its unique depth of flavour or what is universally known as ‘umami’”.

The Great Taste panel said of Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce, “A very deep fermentation, brewing on the nose, salty and savoury. A good soy sauce with wide appeal.”

The judges were equally impressed with Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade saying, “We love the complexity of this sauce. It has lovely citrus note and the spicing is great. We could see this being a very versatile sauce, a great store cupboard addition. A clean flavour with soy layers of flavour followed by savoury, wine and spice notes.”
