A NEW range of macarons from Brioche Pasquier brings six heart-warming flavours to the table in time for Valentine’s day. Macarons ‘Emotion’ includes five new recipes, and one classic favourite, in a range of flavours to tempt all the romantics out there.

Managing Director Olivier Ripoche explains “We’ve come up with new recipes for six classic flavour combinations, adding garnishes, extra intensity and fruitiness to create a range of very special and very beautiful macarons.”

The Banana and Coconut macaron features natural banana in the cream filling, and coconut shavings to decorate. There’s a new Lemon and Lime combo to bring zest and zing to the collection, with the natural fruit juices adding authentic flavour. Raspberry and Redcurrant are brought together in a pink berry fiesta, and the sharp and moody Blackcurrant macaron features bountiful portions of the familiar purple fruit. Finally, there is the crunchy, creamy combination of Caramel Biscuit – flavoured with sweet caramel and dusted with caramel crumbs.

“We’re really proud of this new collection which we believe has the taste and appearance required to offer a really special dessert on Valentine’s Day,” says Olivier.  “Our pâtissiers are highly skilled and all our pâtisserie is made and baked in France to traditional recipes using high quality French ingredients.”

Macarons provide a perfect romantic dessert for couples. Serve them as a sharing dish, beautifully arranged on a black plate or slate, and decorated with edible flowers. Macarons ‘Emotion’ would make a beautiful display on their own, but if you wanted to add variety with some more bite-sized pâtisserie treats, the recently introduced Petits Fours ‘Délicatesse’ would make a good contrast.

This range offers eight complementary flavours and pâtisserie styles, including Tartelette Citron, made with pure butter pastry and an almond cream, and a Triangle Pistache which features almonds alongside the pistachios, and a chocolate flake topping.

Perfect as they are for romantic celebrations, these pâtisserie collections are not just for Valentine’s day and not just for dessert. Macarons and petit fours have the style and finesse to grace any event, all year round. The lovely bite-sized morsels make ideal sweet canapés, can be the elegant centrepiece of afternoon tea, or offer a sweet mouthful with a Café Gourmand.

Like all Brioche Pasquier pâtisserie, the macarons and petit fours are made with eggs from uncaged hens, fresh butter, fresh fruit and natural colourants and flavourings. They are vegetarian and free from palm oil and preservatives.

Macarons ‘Emotion’ come frozen in boxes of 36. Served in individual trays of 12, to pick and choose selections, reducing waste. They need only defrosting to serve, and if required, a simple garnish.
