Milkybar, the number one white chocolate brand, today announces a new addition to its range with the launch of Milkybar Cookies & Cream.

Appearing in shops across the UK and Ireland from this week, the 90g sharing bar features creamy-tasting, smooth white chocolate studded with delicious, crunchy cookie pieces.

Molly Slater-Davison, Assistant Brand Manager for Milkybar said: “Cookies and cream is a classic combination for a reason, and we believe our delicious white chocolate makes it unbeatable! We are always looking for new ways to innovate and delight fans, and we hope they love this new sharing block as much as we do!”

Nestlé is believed to have invented the first white chocolate back in 1936, when workers who were making a vitamin-enriched condensed milk, added cocoa butter to make a solid tablet.

In 2017, Nestlé introduced a lower sugar formulation for Milkybar that increased the quantity of milk in the recipe by over 10 per cent, making it the number one ingredient. By using more milk, Nestlé was able to naturally reduce the sugar content without using sweeteners. Milkybar is also free from artificial flavours, colours, and preservatives.

Today, Milkybar is more popular than ever. So far in 2020, over 11 million Milkybar blocks have been sold.

Milkybar Cookies & Cream is being made at Nestlé’s factory in York, which also produces KitKat, Aero, Yorkie and Polo. It will go on sale over the next few weeks in wholesalers and the convenience channel. Milkybar Cookies & Cream is available as a 90g sharing bar only (RRP £1.00).
