Best-one is reorganising its drop shipment scheme following the retirement of Steve Gasgoigne who left the company at the end of January.
IDC Ltd, specialists in drop shipment and supply chain logistics, and who have worked with Steve over the past three years to source and provide local and regional products to Best-one stores, will now assume direct responsibility for all of drop shipment operations for the UK’s fastest growing symbol operator.
Over the next few months IDC will manage the whole process to Best-one stores including working with over 300 suppliers across chilled and fresh, frozen, cards and stationery, cakes and morning goods and a host of other categories.

James also urges retailers to consider drop shipment as a means of supply as it not only offers a wide range of products but also helps retailers trade more profitably. “Retailers keep telling me that they want to spend more time planning and developing their business.
