STL Solutions, the only IT provider in the UK focusing solely on developing integrated solutions for the delivered wholesale and cash & carry industry, has secured a £350,000 deal to supply major cash & carry operator AG Parfett & Sons with an integrated back office system and services. The solution, comprising STL’s Merchandise Management Software (MMS) and its new Sales Order Processing (SOP) software, is designed to optimise Parfetts’ existing cash & carry business, while providing executives with the intelligence and flexibility they need to effectively plan strategic expansion and take advantage of new opportunities.
As part of the agreement, STL will provide a full range of installation and customisation services, along with a comprehensive support service for three years. This announcement follows Parfetts’ successful implementation of STL’s tilling solution across six sites.

The Parfett Solution
MMS will provide Parfetts with greater transparency and flow of data relating to its customers, suppliers, stock and sales. This will help Parfetts to dramatically improve procedural efficiency, particularly in the rollout of new products, prices and promotions. The ability to collect and analyse data from all six depots will also help both depot and head office traders to enhance trading performance.
The SOP application, coupled with STL’s e-commerce site ‘Order Wizard’, will enable Parfetts to provide its customers with further benefits, including instant visibility of prices and availability. It will also provide future opportunities to offer an online ordering service that automatically handles all pricing and discount options. This will help to secure customer loyalty and increase order size as well as provide direct marketing opportunities.
More strategically, STL’s powerful reporting tools will give Parfetts the ability to collate and query cross-organisational information. This will provide the intelligence it needs to explore opportunities and make effective plans for the future.
